Think Of Poker In The Long Term

Poker players relies on decisions in order to become successful in this game. If they make good decisions, they win and if they didn’t they lose.

Each decision you will make has a long term expected value in poker which is shorten as EV. The EV of a decision is what you will win or lose on average in the long term. One example would be playing in a limit Hold Em poker game where in you play and bet the nuts on the river. With this you’ll get a positive expected value of $20 each time you made the decision. On the other hand, folding a big blind will make you lose $10 which is a negative EV every time you made the same decision.

But it does not end there. The negative $10 expected value in a Big blind is more complicated than it seems. If you lose a standard $3 in the BB, then the expected value of folding each hand you have is worth -$7. And if you lose $12 a hand during a big blind then the EV of folding is a positive $2.

Nevada Demographics

With accordance to the Census Bureau’s figures concerning Nevada’s population estimate during 2007, the state of Nevada has a population close to two million five hundred thousand people. Immigration had substantially blown the population up a few folds more, thus Nevada earned the title of ‘fastest growing state in the country’.

The actual place of mass density and concentration is Las Vegas. This small gambling center had grown from a hundred people, figure squared after 50 years and multiplied by ten after 20 years. By the present condition, most of the two million five hundred thousand that makes up the whole fodder of Nevada can be found in this city.

The racial distributions in Las Vegas are: sixty five percent White American, twenty percent Hispanics or Latinos, seven percent African-American, six percent Asian-American, and two percent with the minority groups.
